Tamsin Waley-Cohens formidable talents are well known to audiences in and around Stratford, but she has not, until now, performed a solo recital. As part of the Festivals Sincerest Form of Flattery series, Tamsin has chosen to play two of the most important works written for the instrument in isolation: Bachs monumental D minor Partita celebrated for its famously demanding Chaconne and the Sonata composed in homage to Bach by Bartok in 1947, at the request of Yehudi Menuhin.
